    Some of you noticed limits drained faster in Codex, we root caused it to an optimization that we rolled back that had an impact on cache hit rates when compacting across long running sessions.

Les réinitialisations de Codex suivent-elles un calendrier ?
Non. Les réinitialisations globales sont annoncées sur X par Tibo (Thibault Sottiaux), qui dirige Codex chez OpenAI, quand il le décide : le plus souvent pour compenser une panne ou un bug de décompte d’utilisation, parfois pour célébrer un cap d’utilisateurs ou un lancement. Sur les 55 réinitialisations depuis septembre 2025, l’écart médian est de 3,3 jours et la plus longue attente a été de 68 jours (25 déc. 2025 → 3 mars 2026). OpenAI précise que les réinitialisations futures ne sont pas garanties.

Quand ma propre limite d’utilisation de Codex est-elle réinitialisée ?
C’est indépendant des réinitialisations globales de Tibo : chaque compte a ses propres fenêtres d’utilisation de 5 heures et hebdomadaire, il n’y a donc pas d’heure de réinitialisation unique pour tout le monde. Ouvrez Paramètres → Utilisation (Settings → Usage) dans l’application Codex ou sur le web pour voir vos propres heures de réinitialisation, ou tapez /status dans Codex CLI. Si vous achetez une réinitialisation, votre nouvelle période hebdomadaire commence avec votre prochaine requête dans Codex ou ChatGPT Work, et la prochaine réinitialisation hebdomadaire automatique intervient 7 jours plus tard. Quelle est la différence entre une réinitialisation et une réinitialisation en réserve (banked reset), et comment l’utiliser ?
Une réinitialisation classique (globale) s’applique directement à tous les comptes concernés (en général tous les forfaits payants ; la publication précise qui en bénéficie) et ne peut pas être conservée. Une réinitialisation en réserve est une réinitialisation à usage unique enregistrée sur votre compte : rien n’est rechargé tant que vous ne l’appliquez pas et, quand vous le faites, elle renouvelle vos fenêtres de 5 heures et hebdomadaire et décale la date de votre réinitialisation hebdomadaire. Certaines annonces incluent les deux. Pour l’utiliser, ouvrez Paramètres → Utilisation dans l’application de bureau, la CLI ou sur le web, sélectionnez le récapitulatif indiquant « 1 reset available », vérifiez la date d’expiration et confirmez. Sur le calendrier, un tampon plein correspond à une réinitialisation classique et un cercle en pointillés à une réinitialisation en réserve. Les réinitialisations en réserve expirent-elles ?
Oui. Chaque réinitialisation en réserve affiche sa propre date d’expiration dans votre compte ou dans l’offre, et une réinitialisation expirée ne peut être ni restaurée ni réémise. Une réinitialisation en réserve n’est consommée que lorsqu’elle renouvelle réellement une fenêtre d’utilisation ; s’il n’y a rien à réinitialiser, elle reste disponible. Tibo a annoncé une réinitialisation, mais mon utilisation n’a pas changé. Pourquoi ?
Les réinitialisations globales sont déployées progressivement ; selon les publications de Tibo, cela prend de dix minutes à quelques heures. Si la publication concernait une réinitialisation en réserve, rien ne change tant que vous ne l’appliquez pas vous-même dans Paramètres → Utilisation. Le tableau de bord d’utilisation peut aussi mettre un moment à se mettre à jour : actualisez ou rouvrez Paramètres → Utilisation et vérifiez que vous consultez le bon compte ou le bon espace de travail.

Peut-on acheter une réinitialisation de Codex ?
Oui, sur les comptes personnels ChatGPT Plus et Pro éligibles : achetez une réinitialisation instantanée depuis les paramètres d’utilisation de l’application de bureau ChatGPT, ou depuis l’offre qui s’affiche lorsque vous atteignez votre limite hebdomadaire. Elle rétablit immédiatement votre utilisation sur 5 heures et hebdomadaire, mais elle avance votre quota hebdomadaire normal au lieu d’ajouter de l’utilisation supplémentaire, elle ne peut pas être conservée pour plus tard et, en général, aucun remboursement n’est proposé.
