OpenTheRank ("we", "the Site") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
OpenTheRank is a static informational website. We do not operate user accounts, require registration, accept user submissions, or process payments.
We collect minimal information necessary to operate the Site:
We do not collect names, email addresses, payment information, or any other personal data unless you voluntarily contact us. If you email us, we hold your message and address only for as long as it takes to answer it.
If you sign in with Google to keep a watchlist, we store the Google account identifier, your name, email address and profile picture, the products you watch and the comparison settings you choose for them. Sign-in uses a session cookie (otr_session) that is essential to the feature and expires after 30 days of inactivity. We do not send email unless you turn alerts on.
You can sign out from the account menu at any time, which revokes every session. Deleting your account removes your profile and every watch immediately; there is no retention copy.
The Site uses analytics cookies or similar browser storage set by Google Analytics and PostHog to measure visits and understand how pages are used. We also display ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other websites, and Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve personalized or non-personalized ads to you. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. We do not sell your personal data, and we set no affiliate tracking cookie of our own — the partner link described in section 5 hands you to a partner who sets its own.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
One link on this Site is a paid partner link: the Get VPN button in the tools column of the AI, streaming, Steam, Nintendo eShop, and mobile game comparison tables. It points at a /go/ path on this domain, which redirects to ZoogVPN. If you subscribe after following it, we may be paid a commission. The price you pay is not affected.
We set no cookie of our own on that click and receive no personal data back from it. The destination URL carries a partner identifier, and the partner may set its own cookies once you are on its site, governed by its policy rather than ours. What comes back to us is an aggregate commission report with no identifying detail about who clicked.
Nothing else on the Site is monetised this way. Prices, the sources they were read from, and the Get Address links exist so a figure can be checked at its source, and they earn us nothing. ZoogVPN also appears in the free VPN ranking; it was placed there on the same measured and published evidence as every other entry, before the partnership existed, and its position is not adjusted because of it.
Server logs are retained for a limited period for security purposes and are then deleted. We do not retain personal data beyond what is technically necessary.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold. Since we collect minimal data, most requests can be addressed by simply not using the Site, by opting out of personalized advertising through the links in section 3, or by using your browser's controls for cookies and site data.

This Site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date shown under the title above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
